Dr. Chelsea Boutwell

About Dr. Boutwell

PetVax Midtown is happy to introduce our new full-time veterinarian, Dr. Boutwell! Originally from Mississippi, she began her career as a Certified Veterinary Technologist in 2013 with a bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University. She worked as an emergency medicine and critical care technician for a few years before continuing her education at the University of Missouri.

After graduating as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2019, she worked as a small animal veterinarian in Colorado, gaining valuable experience until she decided to relocate to Memphis, TN, to be closer to family during the COVID pandemic. Her interests include small animal preventative care, dentistry, and dermatology. However, her strongest passion is nurturing the human-animal bond through client education and a high standard of care!

Her favorite hobbies include DIY arts and crafts, playing cards/board games, spending time with family, and aquascaping. Dr. Boutwell has a full household with 2 young daughters, her husband, many fur-children, and lots of aquariums. She looks forward to meeting the Midtown PetVax families and your pets!
