Boarding for Pets
A Home Away From Home
We know that it can be stressful to have to leave your pet behind when you go out of town. This goes doubly when your companion is feeling ill or is recovering from a medical procedure. At PetVax Complete Care Centers, the vets at our Bartlett, Raines Road and Germantown locations are here to put your mind at ease.
At these three hospitals, we are able to provide general and medical boarding services for all f our patients. We are able to accommodate the needs of dogs can cats that standard boarding facilities also may not be equipped to handle.
Boarding: A Typical Day
Every morning, the dogs that are staying with us venture into our indoor dog run before their breakfast. While they are there, we clean, disinfect and stock their kennels with fresh linens.
Your dog will have supervision during the day while they are staying with us—this includes while they are resting and playing. In the evenings, we serve them dinner and take them out into the run one last time before bed.
Your cat will be fed according to your specifications and their requirements, to ensure their routine is the same as it is at home.
We make sure to provide your kitten with daily one-on-one interactions. This includes play, snuggles and pets. We will check, clean and disinfect their litter boxes throughout the day.
Additionally, we refresh linens and clean your kitty's room daily. Our cat boarding area is separated from the dog area to ensure your kitty feels relaxed and safe while they stay with us.
We will supervise your pet, administer medications and keep a close eye on them when they require medical boarding services. Our expert vets and nurses will aim to keep your pet's schedule of receiving their medications.

Please note that, due to the nature of our accommodations, we do not accept unaltered dogs. Pets must be up to date with all vaccinations and free of fleas and ticks to stay at our facility.
Step 2: Book a trial stay
We want to be absolutely sure that we are a good fit for your pet before an extended stay. The trial stay consists of a full day of daycare where we can take the time to assess your pet's temperament and make sure they fit in with the pack.
Step 3: Set your pet up for success
On the day you drop your pet off with us, there are a few steps you can take to help reduce any stress your pet may feel.
Spend some extra time with your pet beforehand, and make sure they get some vigorous exercise so that they are feeling calm. When you arrive at our facility, stay calm, cheerful and confident during the separation.
